Our goal is to provide consistent availability of a wide selection of quality plants over a broad period of time.

As well as our focus on perennials and groundcovers, we offer a full line of bedding plants and vegetables for your needs. An availability list is created by our sales department and updated each week. You can download the most current availability information from our website here at www.CasertanosFarms.com or receive it through our weekly fax program for your ordering pleasure. We will continue to offer a full line of perennial and groundcover plants for your landscape needs throughout the season, but recommend you let us show you the benefits of our higher frequency retail ready buying program. Our customers tell us and our own experience shows an increase in sales growth rates and inventory turns when purchasing a continuous retail ready plant mix.

Ours is a long season and we sometimes get burned out, so we’ve created five mini-seasons – Early Spring, May Madness, Late Spring/ Summer, Fall and Holiday. Our energies focus on continually updating our retail ready product offerings for each of the five mini-seasons. Our efforts to provide you with the best products possible have been stepped up this year by offering for: Early Spring – A line of cold tolerant combinations including pansy, viola and accent perennials in natural fiber containers to accompany early pansy bowls and oval planters. In perennials and groundcover there are the Color Made Simple™ perennials in 3-color or green 1-quart containers, premium groundcover and Stepables™ and Mow No More™ groundcover. May Madness – Includes, of course, 4.5” pots, hanging baskets and flats, but is accompanied by 12” annual combination coco wire hangers, 8” premium annuals, combination flowering bowls and ovals as well as continued availability of 1-quart and 1-gallon perennials, Stepables™ and Mow No More™ groundcover. Late Spring/Summer – Traditionally, premium and assorted 1 and 2gallon perennials and 6.5” annuals drive late season sales. In response to home gardener demand, we expanded June and July offerings to include 14” annual combination coco wire hangers, 12” premium annuals in patio pots, and Red, White & Blue combinations for Memorial Day and Fourth of July. Fall – Our line of lisianthus and hibiscus brings life to an otherwise lackluster August, followed up by a line of hardy mums, asters and fall perennials. Fall is also the perfect time for groundcover plantings. Holiday – Poinsettias and a full line of decorated holiday evergreen products created by our elves in Cheshire, CT highlight our final selling season.

It is with great pleasure and pride that we can announce in  our first new perennial plant introduction, Sedum spectabilis ‘Samuel Oliphant’. A sport of Sedum spectabilis Matrona, it bears the dark foliage of its parent, however ringed with a creamy white variegation, the outside edge of which has a hot pink border. The flower is similar to its parent with carmine pink as its primary coloration. In trials it has been a great late summer/fall performer.

In our pursuit of new product offerings, we continue to work internally and with industry partners to bring you the best possible plant selections. Our partnership with the Under A Foot Plant group provides us the opportunity to bring you Stepables™, a new and interesting line of proprietary perennial groundcover plants, sold exclusively to retail garden center and landscape contractors. For those of you with an interest in growing plants, we provide a broad mix of 3” starter perennial plants.
