STEPABLES® are plants that tolerate foot traffic. They are easy to maintain, reduce weeds, fill in quickly or slowly (depending on variety) and will give your landscape that special final touch. We have many POP materials available to help you sell these rugged plants successfully.


Ajuga

•Vigorous, mat-forming groundcover produces dainty flower spikes in late spring.

Bellis - Mini Daisy

•Easy to grow, low-growing perennial has rosettes of dark green foliage. Colorful flowers, resembling thistles, bloom spring to midsummer. Nice for fresh or dried arrangements or use as a groundcover. Various colors, Spring-Midsummer, 8” tall, 6” wide

 

Glechoma

•Trailing perennial with round, scalloped, bright green, cream to white-edged foliage makes a good small-scale groundcover or use in hanging baskets. Small, trumpet-shaped, blue flowers bloom in spring and summer.

Herniaria

•Lovely bright green creeper spreads effortlessly in all directions filling up to two feet per plant.

Laurentia

•Unique,mat-forming perennial with a spreading growth habit. Small, oval, rich green leaves are edged with small lobes and tiny hairs. Clusters of little, light blue, star flowers bloom late spring through summer.

Leptinella or Cotula

•Unique,tiny groundcover is ideal between flagstones. It spreads rapidly by runners, and resembles a fern.

Mazus

•Very hardy, fast growing, bright green ground cover. Takes heavy foot traffic between pavers.

•Hardy, succulent perennial trails from rooting stems and has upright branchlets with tiny, light green leaves. An attractive ground-cover or use between stepping stones or trailing on walls.

Thymus

•Creeping perennial forms a dense mat. Stemsare clothed with small, gray, wooly leaves. Summer flowers if produced are pinkish.

Veronica

•Mat-forming perennial with variably shaped foliage is attractive in rock garden or wall garden. Flower spikes attract hummingbirds.
